The 4-5 Pre-K Classroom is where we really have the opportunity to see the children’s abilities soar. The classroom is very structured with expected routines and procedures. Children, in general, learn better when they know what is expected; creating a sense of independence and responsibility in each child.
Our curriculum is very literacy-based and theme-related and integrated throughout in a variety of ways. Kindergarten readiness skills will be achieved during the time in this classroom. Fine-motor, gross-motor, one-to-one correspondence, social and emotional skills are only to name a few. All lessons are planned carefully by the teacher, following Early Learning Standards for 3, 4 & 5-year olds.
Your child will be “A Step Ahead” and ready for kindergarten once they complete our preschool program.
